You feel your life has just begun when its time to go

Updated on September 7, 2011

Becoming you was not a forgone conclusion,

It was not a dream or even an illusion,

It was,nt a plan or even a desire,

It was a candle in the fire.

Your life evolved from a small single cell,

Wrenched from the hevens and cast into hell,

From the moment that you took your first breath,

You began your journey of life unto death,

Each step that you take of comfort and pain,

Along the journey of life is never the same,

Emotions become the framework of who you are,

A lost soul of destiny drifting afar,

People around you your friends or your kin,

Highlight the journey of where you once been,

Memories embroidered deep within,

Imagies of your life only you have seen,

Cast aside your mortal coil,

Tears in the dust wanting to spoil,

Time is your enemy not your foe,

You feel your life had just begun when its time to go............

Very edgy poem. I like the "candle in the fire" line. Good image. I also like the picure you chose to go with the poem. Keep writing! Very good.
