Your A Peach

Updated on September 20, 2012

I Know You Know Its You

Today I walked to the refridgerator and reached in and pulled out this peach

As I took one bite I new the rest would follow

You fill up my nights with comments that I won't see till tomorrow

I laugh,I sigh but most of all I have a smile a mile wide

Every word leaves me hanging on for one more bite

You shine when you are just sitting all alone in the dark

I want to admire your posture sitting straight

When everyone else is leaning side to side

I remember the last time we spoke

You read a poem and I made a joke

I hope you keep on reading because this one is about you

Dim Flaxenwick yes I said Dim Flaxenwick just incase you skipped over my last line

You read so many of my poems I wonder where you find the time

I think you have a few tricks up your sleeve you don't let anyone know

My eyes become blurried and the clock ticks all night

You are a wonder and so special and so ripe

I compare you to a peach because you have so many qualities that never go unnoticed

You stand out from the rest because of your soft skin

You could be an orange but you have flavor on the outside and within

Youre mind keeps thinking and your words keep flowing

How nice it is to know someone who is so well liked

You can mix with the apples and the plums

Your writings go from sad to sweet

I love peaches they are so good to eat

I can have one then it is not long before I want another

You are best when you are in season

There is nothing like a sweet peach

You put a smile where a smile should be

Now I hope you don't mind being called a peach

A Powerful, Enthusiastic, Admired, Caring, Hubber

Who I like to praise all the way to the end

what a simile !....with all those qualities of a peach, i'm sure the great hubber you are doting upon, would really be some special one, worth admiration.....and you know, i'm a little bit envious on her...haha!

DREAM know you just compared a friend to a fruit ?

well I guess it's better than liver and onions...did like the analogy though..perhaps there's a touch of sleep deprived..but then that's when most do their best writes...enjoyed as usual ny friend good job !

First-rate use of symbolism. There are so many meanings in each statement. Your talent is never-ending as you demonstrate the ability to combine an object with the beauty of an individuals soul.

I will never look at a peach the same way again.
