Your Immeasurable Love Burns, Like a Thousand Flares
red rose
Ah! My Beloved, You have hidden Yourself,
And I’m sitting by the fireplace all alone.
As I sulk in my yearning,
Your radiant smile dances in my Heart.
I am enchanted by the quintessence of Your Beauty;
I wish to die in Your Delight of a thousand flares.
I want to cling, yet I long to reach this pure state
Which is free, delightful, trusting …
The psalm, ‘The Light of Love’, by the mystic poet Rumi,
Resonates within the carefully chosen chandeliers;
The vermillion roses, so well-placed upon
Your favourite silken pillow, soft … fragrant;
Immaculate as the virgin dawn.
Flakes of gold
On this very special Valentine’s,
My Heart’s lustre sparkles, as
Your Sweetness rains, like flakes of gold;
Your smile is like the setting sun!
My sweet Sunset, where have you gone?
Right now I pine in my longing!
Without You, I feel like a fish on dry land;
A bright flame lost in the darkness;
My emotions are flooded with despair.
Come! Let me wrap You in fine satin,
So that Your body never tires of my embrace.
Perhaps we can lie on the sand together,
With zephyrs caressing Your sweet cheeks.
Sunset
The west winds, the waft of lavenders calls to me;
The rolling leaves of our memories sing;
Glides as gracefully as the nightingale.
My Majesty! You are my chess piece in a brilliant set,
O Queen of Hearts. Your Love overpowers me;
Like a tornado I’m swept off my feet.
Come! Be my Polestar, glimmering
In the aura of my blissful Rhapsody.
The road to You has been full of sandstorms,
And I died one thousand deaths!
Ah! The mysteries of Thy secrets are overwhelming;
Your immeasurable Love burns, like a thousand beams,
Shining in the opulence of my Soul.
