Your Poetic Wand

Updated on February 17, 2011

It has become a pattern...
Yes, one I long to see...
to read your fine poetic work
that makes me clap with glee...

On the wings of clever words,
I see the great beyond.
I am, thus, transported there
by your poetic wand...

To worlds so rich and colorful
where flows emotion's wine...
lands alive with color
the very sun cannot outshine.

I tour about on gentle wings
of your most crafty rhyme..
experiencing through vivid verse
your visions so sublime...

With you, I visit many worlds
Before my laptop screen
as I read your play of words
and step into your scene.

It‘s become my pattern, yes...
to jaunt your poetry...
the magic of your poetic wand
is great delight to me!

I so agree, Saddlerider, Thank you! This is true of a handful here In truth, you are one of those...I think you know who you are, and I, in large part, owe who I am today and who I have become, to you!

epigramman, You are one of the "Poetic Greats" around here, and I for one, am honored to keep YOUR company!

...well when you get the 'royal' endorsement from Saddlerider, Just exploring, Manny the Man, Will Starr and Tnderhrt23 then you might as well just retire to the farm and collect the royalties - and the royalties are courtesy of keeping company with such great people like these .....

You couldn't have chosen a nicer poet than the EPIgramman to pen this work for, I have a deep admiration for his talent as I do yours and a handful of others. Epi is one of the quickest, sharpest poets here, banging them out in a fury and not missing a rhyme. Well done.

This piece describes perfectly what has happened to me since joining Hubpages. I have become ADDICTED to certain writers. As well, thank you for introducing me to a new (well for me anyways) writer to follow. ( i will never be done reading it seems) lol -Paul

Epi, Its magic how that whole thing works...the message is much clearer now and I am content with that...I re-read and re-read, and then re-read myself crazy until it feels right. Then I am done...And I thank you, Mr. world is richer because of you!

mannyrolando, your comment made my little tnderhrt sing! Thank you for that!

I love this... and I had suspected that it was about Epigramman before I read your comment! Excellent!

...well Marsha - I think a writer's work is always a work in progress - we are always moving forward (hopefully) and trying to improve - and sometimes taking a step back to edit and rethink what we have written - sometimes swayed by the comments of our readers too!

I try not to go back and go over my work because I so busy coming up with new stuff - lol lol lol - and if I did go back - I would probably change a lot - because I think most writers are never satisfied. I am also a very fast writer and quick thinker - most of my pieces are written up from scratch in anywhere from 15 minutes to half a hour. Always on paper from pen too - and then a few last minute improvements (hopefully) when posting from the computer keyboard. So there is a little insight for you. I really do think the word 'poetic' is an improvement in the title over 'verbal' too!

Thank you for being in my life and inspiring me also in so many different ways. You are a true poet in every sense of the word - and it's really quite a sacred mission too that you are on. As you know the epi-man is trying to take a little creative license with the poetry genre and try some a bit different. And we all have our own styles - so it makes Hubpages an exciting place to be!

This is dedicated to Epigramman. It is a re-write of the initial piece "Your Verbal Wand" and improved, I hope!
