Your Soul Comes From out of Your Mouth When You Die.

Updated on February 9, 2018

Death awaits in the shadows of throats

Pale, silver eyes are swallowed to hell

Gray bleeding fingers of tingles he climbs

Laughing at whispers to God

Sight of a pain to trembles of tears

Darkness is dancing in the last light

Reaper in rust , cross the black blood

Voices are calling under the bed

Devils are gnawing near the good word

Sins of the body win the first meat

Splinters of cold cracking the life

Spirit is watching, mouth to be open

Roar of a silence

Rips from the gut

Satan curls a dry tongue

Cursing the loss, cursing his time

A friend of mine told me that he feel from a three story roof and that his life flashed in his mind before he hit the ground. I asked,"You mean important events of your life?" He replied,"No...my entire life...all of it." He said it was like watching a movie of everything he experienced in life but it was jammed into a few seconds.

I'd love to hear about your experience. Perhaps you could write about it on HubPages. My brother also died for a few moments in a car wreck. He saw himself in the car, then the medics. He saw family members who had passed on.

I believe that each of us has a kind of unique universe within the energy of our souls. It is tiny and massive at the same time.

You know I died 10 years ago and I was dead for 90 secands. I had the most weird dream .I dont talk about it much but I am sure what I saw was not a dream as I first just stated. Your brain has about 15 mins before it shuts down from lack of air. I still think about what happenend to me that night 10 years ago. I love to tell you about it sometime

Thanks for stopping by Shaun. I don't know where the soul comes out for sure but I do believe it exits the mouth with the last breath. It is the experience of my witnessing someone die.

This is indeed what happens, and why it's recommended to tie up the jaws (to prevent the soul returning?) Also to close the eyes as they follow the sight of the soul departing. In the hands of the bright angels or dark demons, whichever it may be.

      Nice poem

Mighty Mom.....yes it is frightening....Satan lost the fights though...peace in the eyes came with the last breaths. He always loses....the soul belongs to God.

      Thanks!

Tom, that's even more frightening, to think you witnessed the passing of a soul that was being fought over to the end. I've watched two people die. There was no question but that the angels were in the hizouse and Satan had no chance.

Your language is really really evocative. I'm giving this a thumbs up!

Shenarobins.....thanks...it is both disturbing and beautiful to witness a departing soul. The poem is as close as I could describe it.

Can't say as I've ever thought specifically how one's soul physically leaves the body at death. Leave it to Satan -- hiding and waiting to strike like a case of salmonella poisoning. LOL.

Seriously. Very strongly worded. I'm gonna keep on with my whispering. And keep my mouth SHUT! MM

The title reminds me of the movie 21 grams - the suppposed weight of one's soul. Anyway this is a very dark one. The images are scary, and vivid, too! Thanks for sharing :D
