You're My Bucket List.

Updated on October 25, 2014

You're My Bucket List:

You’re my bucket list,

You’re my key,

A division exists, persists,

But I am you, you are me.

You’re my bucket list,

You’re my key,

Turn my tide light,

When I’m savage, icy sea.

You’re my bucket list,

You’re my key,

Twist a blessed knife,

In the masochist gut of me.

You’re my bucket list,

You’re my key,

We both of us run,

But only I flee.

You’re my bucket list,

You’re my key,

Branch out in green hue,

Staining the shade of my tree.

You’re my bucket list,

You’re my key,

We are manacles,

That refuse the gift of free.

You’re my bucket list,

You’re my key,

A division exists, persists,

But I am you, you are me.

I like the idea of someone being a bucket list. Things we want to do before we die are so often wound up in someone else, someone we love.

      Lovely poetry!
