Contemplation of my desires, tainted with confusion
Cast upon me like a beam of the ominous moon.
The tears stream down my face once more,
Bestowing upon me the relief I desperately call for.
I long to have you with me once more,
To place my head upon your chest
And hear the words you whisper in my ear,
Not with words of mouth my love,
But with the sound of your beating heart.
Oh how I long for the words of eternity
To slip with ease from your lips.
I yearn to hear those words so sweet,
Although hesitation plagues my soul.
Save for the occasions when my eyes witness
The glory of your smile that casts a light upon my fears,
Compelling me to forget all that I have known
Of sorrow and my unwanted apprehension
Toward all that entails a life with you forever.
Now as I lie upon my bed
I know not why my tears have fallen.
A lifetime with you my love, I realize now,
Is not a consideration to be feared or hesitated,
But to be a joyous reflection held within my heart,
A promise that can and will come true,
And a glorious gift sent from above.
I have found you now to hold forever
And for that I savor every moment with you.
