The Teardrop Poems

Updated on November 21, 2015

What is a tear?

A tear to me is a small river

caring and never ending.. .

flowing from my soul twards something unknown

yet having a specific purpose and sometimes

sometimes you might taste it on

your lips and its would sting.

Its hard to hard to believe that something

so small could hurt so much-

yet heal all at the same time

By : Ramona Treat ~ My sister ♥

A Tear

The salt of the most repentant tears

will not cure the flesh wounds

that I have afflicted on myself.

A Tear

This is my reward of judgement

Written by Mindy Bench

Tears of Joy

Tears of joy flood my soul

they trickle down my cheek

I smile and wipe them away

I get to live!

its not cancer

I have a new lease on life

Mindy Bench

Tears Fall

Tears fall from my eyes so blurred I cant see

I want to know

Do you really Love me?

How many tears I can't count

The endless nights of tossing about

Frustrated and angry

wondering why?

Tears fall from my eyes so blurred I cant see

if you love me....

Mindy Bench

You left me

Tears flow my heart aches

I lost you Joe

I wished you didn't go

You left me and it hurts so bad

you left for good and I am so sad

It wasn't your fault, this damn war

I love my country and I know you did too

Its just that those Jackasses didn't care about you.

They put you in the line of fire and hung you out to dry

now all I can do is cry,CRY,CRY.

I wish I could bring you back if I could

I would even trade places with you, you know I would.

I miss you so much

I remember all the fun we had

and now you are up there with our Dad

but I am stuck down here crying again

I will see you on the other side someday...

until then.

I love you

Brother Joe

Written by Mindy Bench

my brother Joseph passed away in 2013 IRAQ I miss him terribly.

Sorrow and Saddness

Tears, flow from my eyes, what do I see?

A broken heart, pain burning, sickness.

I feel like death warmed over me.

Someone threw my heart down again.

When will this ever end?

when someone picks it up

and puts it together again.

Mindy Bench

Sitting around waiting what the hell for?

I don't know, for you to walk through that door?

That wont happen, because its never happened before.

Sitting around waiting praying to god.

Hoping you are still alive now isn't that odd?

Sitting around waiting, tears fall from my eyes.

crying over you and all your lies.

Sitting around waiting tears fall from my eyes.

The Hell with this I'm going out with the guys.

Mindy Bench

Tears of Wonder

The pain is almost unbearable

The most rewarding

A birth of a child

Smiling faces in the room, the laughter of joy and relief.

Holding my baby for the first time

Tears of wonder

Mindy Bench

I remember the days years ago when my x treated me badly and some of these were when I was younger and married to him. Some were of dating and old boyfriends. Luckily I don't have many tears now. I am happily married and healthy

Thank you all! I found my poetry book! It was lost, so it is so cool for me to reread these, and post them. All of these were from actual situations in my life. The first one my sister wrote and she is an amazing woman, she was the first woman to command troops in battle over in Iraq, with the National Guard. She is so smart, and an excellent poet! I love her so much :)
