A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles"

Updated on August 30, 2017

My Review

In "A Return to Love," Marianne Williamson takes the very esoteric principles from "A Course in Miracles," and makes them more accessible by sharing her personal experiences of how they can be used in everyday life. She openly reveals the struggles and challenges of her spiritual journey while teaching that God is Love and only love is REAL, and that we can all create miracles by accepting love back into our hearts. This book is a spiritual love story, a conscious journey of unlearning fear and remembering love.

Reading this book is like unearthing a hidden treasure chest of self-discovery. In an insightful and honest way Marianne reveals how to bring love into every aspect of your life, work, relationships or health.

I really enjoyed this book, it is one that I will read over and over and I highly recommend you read this book if you want to transform your thoughts and your life, read it if you want to release fear from your life and return to love.

From Library Journal

This book is based on the author's experiences as a teacher and lecturer on the self-study guide A Course in Miracles (Foundation for Inner Peace, 1975), the students of which attribute its authorship to Jesus Christ. Using humorous personal narrative, Williamson explains how applying love to all difficulties, as advised by "The Course," can aid in healing...

God exists in eternity.

The only point where eternity meets time

is in the present.

The present is the only time there is.

If I choose to bless another person, I will always end up feeling more blessed.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

We ask ourselves:

Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually who are you not to be!

A Course in Miracles (Combined Volume; Complete Third Edition: Preface, Text, Workbook for Students, Manual for Teachers, Clarification of Terms, & Supplements)

As its title implies, the Course is arranged throughout as a teaching device. It consists of three books: Text, Workbook for Students, and Manual for Teachers. The order in which students choose to use the books, and the ways in which they study them, depend on their particular needs and preferences.

A Course in Miracles begins... Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.

Love is what we were born with.

Fear is what we learned here.
