An alternate reality that will bring you chills and thrills. The things that go bump in the night are real. Enter a world where vampires are citizens with legal rights. They own businesses, have families, and lead normal lives.
And don't forget the shapeshifters. Werewoves, weretigers and lions, wererats, and werebears. Lycanthropy is a disease and those who have it turn furry once a month. When? At the full moon, of course.

The Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Novels
I had originally published the content of this lens on another site and had already received some feedback. These are the comments I have received before the transfer.
Kris Vega says:
I think what I appreciate most about Anita is her tactical skill. Whatever power or trick she uses is backed up by her quick draw thinking. With a pistol ... she's pretty much a modern samurai. She started off as a shooter with a neat trick she could do at night, but evolved into a woman with many advantages. Yet she retains the knowledge that ... a bad guy with a gun can end it all. So she won't be sloppy (yet makes mistakes still).
LKH has done a great job in studying the psychology behind human survival instincts and it is evident in the way she sculpted Anita. She controls the dangerous instincts and uses the good ones whenever she is in a jam.
My second favorite "Anita" thing is that she's always getting some kind of new power :p I'm always guessing at what kind of power she will get next. Because when she does get one ... it usually means that some monster is gonna get the whammy real soon.
I just wish the "boss" villains got more page dedication. I really liked Chimera.
