micadeolu has the right idea. The people in your dreams rarely represent that person. Rather, they represent a part of you and your life. Think about that person who was in the dream and boil them down to a few words that would describe them, then apply those words to things happening in your current life. You may find that your enemy represents your frustration with a job, or a relationship, or something else that you are avoiding during your waking hours. When you can distance your dream from its surface images, you can start to pick it apart and figure out what it actually means.
