I have so many and one that always sticks with me is the final paragraph of Dickens', A Tale of Two Cities, "It is a far, far better thing that I do than I have ever done; It is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known." You maybe need to have read the novel... In a light hearted sense, Sir Winston Churchill had such an amazing sense of humour and when a prim and proper lady once suggested he was drunk at a dinner, he immediately replied, "Yes, madam - but you are ugly and I shall be sober in the morning..." Hope to hear some good ones... :)
