well this one might not be as interesting but it's old fashioned. Actually it's pretty old. My grandma would tell me this tale when i was just a small kid. Years later (she died few years ago) my mom recalled how her mom (my grandma) had told her the same story.
The story is of my grandma's dad who was a doctor in rural India. One day after visiting an old patient of his in some remote place, he was driving back. Normally it would take him about two hours to travel back on the same road but somehow the road kept going on. He was bit worried as it was getting dark and he felt he might have take a wrong turn. But after he noticed that he had crossed by the same big banyan tree for the fifth time, he grew worried.
He decided that he would take the straight road and go where ever it takes without taking a left turn. Half an hour on the straight road his car stops near the same tree again. He accelerates his car and repeating the names of Gods, i finally manages to escape.
My grandma promised me that it was a true story. i have my doubts. but as a kid i was spooked for days.
