   Pen and/or pencil, or keyboard?
   
   When you write, do you prefer the action of handwriting, giving you thinking time and brooding time and chewing the end of the pen/cil time?  Or do you prefer the quickness of typing on a computer?

   The keyboard is the quickest for me, but I do scrawl notes on a pad with my pen.

   Keyboard every time. I can store and retrieve much more easily on the computer than having lots of bits of paper around.

   I love typing on the computer, but I'm not really a great typist so, I still stare at the keyboard most of the time while typing, LOL.

   If I have a flowing thought  going I will use the keyboard...however, if I need to think through a thought, or process my way through a scene, anything that requires concentrated thought, I will use a pen/pencil. If I am writing in my journal, pen, absolutely. I will say that the pencil is useful for getting creative juices flowing, it's nostalgic for me and creative as I also draw...they are all good, all three methods and its only a matter of need. Thanks for asking the question. It was an enjoyable experience to mull over this.

   Pen and paper for notes and "thinking". Computer to write-out the notes and never pencil ... the sound it makes on paper makes me wanna climb walls lol

   I am a typer for this reason, I edit on the move. Typing gives me the chance to get my idea across in the  best way possible. The keyboard short cuts and the wordprocessor make me a way better writer. The pencil always gets chewed up")

    if the story is unfolding in my mind, i like the keyboard.... if it is not flowing well, then the pencil allows me time to think it out.... probably not a great answer, but certainly a diplomatic one, hee. great question.

    Bits of paper for best ideas, memo on the cell phone, back of my hand, notebooks, shopping receipts and computer - makes for both tidy and untidy writing assignments. Thanks for the question.

    i usually use da confuser, but yesterday I wroted wiv a Barclays Ball Point Pen (Cos I nicked it from dere cos dey robbed da britsh tax payer ov half a Billion or a Squllion £££s cos dey are well dishonest crooks) in my car cos I can't get da desk top in da car when  i'm on Streatham Common an I wroted quite a lot but i haved to cum home an put iy on da confuser anyway so it tooked a long time innit.

    I often start out with a rough idea on paper, and a pen or a nice sharp pencil. After I get it going I type it into the computer and then I can add to it and rearrange if I need to.

    Keyboard.  Actually I love them all, and a pen is a lot easier to carry but overall I have probably come to rely on the keyboard the most.  I am thankful to be able to do a spell check and/or move thoughts around and I find it easier to do on a computer than on paper.

    I personally prefer the typing on the keyboard. I still have the thinking time, as well as time to get up and walk away if I run into a block. Being able to save my information that I do have as well as being able to add to it later gives my mind a bit of peace.
    
    There are times when I write things out on paper, but those things generally go into a personal file folder that I keep. They are generally the things that don't go beyond myself and close family members.

    Pen and pencil is classical and netural writing ways for people.However, keyboard is much more convenient and save time for writing.

    I loved my first manual typewriter, and resisted changing to electric.  I gradually grew to love the electric ones, but then really resisted the whole idea of the computer.
    
    I started hearing more and more about this thing called the Internet in the early 1990s, and got my first computer in 1992. 
    
    I am so peeved with myself for not being adaptable in this area that I have totally changed my outlook and am always looking for new arenas in the techno-world.
    
    I still do love writing with a really good Parker fountain pen though, and pencils are still the best bet for writing on airplanes.

    I can't read my own writing!  Perhaps I worked for a doctor too long.  The keyboard has saved me from hours of deciphering.

    I do both and like them for different reasons. I write in my diary with a pen every morning and I jot down ideas on post-its. I really like the action of writing, taking time to think while forming the letters. Typing is very fast and convenient and I like moving my fingers on the keyboard and watching the words appear on the computer screen.

    Both, sometime when writing fiction a sharp pencil and paper is best because it gives me time to think. Non-fiction requires a keyboard, computer and internet, since it allows me to check facts whilst writing. However, there is no hard and fast rule
    
    My handwriting is appalling and so if the fiction is coming out of my head very quickly the keyboard is best since I can think faster than I can write and when I come back to it I am more likely to be able to read what I have written.

    I would have to say - both. With me it all depends on what mood I'm in. Some days I just want to curl up on the couch and stay there, but I know I must get some work done so I pull out pen and paper. Other days I don't mind sitting at my computer for a few hours and working on books or articles. I do have to say I am also partial to the notepad app on my Kobo Vox. I am able to curl up on the couch and write, then retrieve it online and copy and paste to a Word Document. It saves me time as I don't have to type out everything I have written like I do when I use pen and paper. Lately my pen and paper writing has been reserved for my Journal and goal sheets.

    I will always prefer a keyboard. Since I simply cannot write at 100 wpm by a pen or pencil - which I can, on a keyboard - using it will be an obvious choice for me.
