I've read more than half of Stephen Kings's works and met hundreds of engaging characters along the way, so picking an all time favorite would be near impossible for me. I can, however, pick a favorite from the last King novel I read, The Stand. Stu Redman is supposed to be the likable everyman and protagonist, but Nick Andros was by far my favorite character. He overcome a great deal of adversity in his life and was a balanced, fair and thoughtfull guy with a great attitude. Also, he didn't let his handicap stop him from having a sense of accountability. How could you not love him?
