That's a great question. Additionally, there's little money in it!... Nevertheless, I've been reading some poems that some of my fellow hubbers have published, and I must say they've a great deal of talent. I don't care much for songs or poems myself; I prefer Philosophy and Lit over poems anytime. Audrey and Dedriu are two very gifted poets we have at HP.
Because they like to write poetry, of course! There are many great poets on HubPages, and poets here enjoy each other's poetry. It's not all about money.
