There are so many ways to use the valuable free time we have. Why do you choose to use at least some of that time Writing? You could be walking, running, biking, fishing, kayaking, gardening, crafting (is that even a word?), baking, watching tv, eating or any one of a host of other hobbies. Why do you write?

I like what you said about controlling people, places and things. It has to be better doing that in a story you write rather than in real life. Great thoughts CrazedNovelist.
Thanks so much for giving me your feedback. Controlling events in your own book makes you feel kinda powerful, lol. It's kinda fun too. :)
drmiddlebrook, I was wondering if someone would say what you just said: "write because I have to." I can relate. I write because I have an inner compulsion to express myself. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm. I will check out some of your craft
Iamsam, I agree with you. I use writing to clarify my beliefs on many things. If I didn't write, I wouldn't have as clear an understanding of myself. Thanks for commenting.
msshandriaball, It is easy for me to get so wrapped up in what I am writing that I forget to let it simply be fun. Thanks for the reminder.
jackcoburn, I get a bit of a chill, or a thrill just knowing that someone is reading what I have written...and maybe even liking it. Thanks for your input.
Yeah I wonder sometimes who is reading my stories and I get so excited when someone takes the time to comment!
No worries mate! :)
Ravenbiker, great reasons to write. I can relate to learning by writing. I clarify to myself what I believe on issues by thinking and then writing. Thanks for responding.
