Your funniest or weird experience regarding your puppy.
Everytime we go out with our puppy, we experience a new world. Do you have stories that you want to share with us? Maybe you met your hubby/wifey throught them? Maybe they caused a divorce? Feel free to join us with your interesting anecdotes.
I have a female pom pom named Tinkerbell, she is quite an unusual dog but very smart, she will jump up in the bed and start rolling around & barking when she wants to go outside, it is hilarious, I plan on filming a video of her when she is riled up and writing a hub about it, I already have on hub written about her with pictures but no videos.
Anyway TY for the question, I know my answer wasn't the best but I hope it helps.
Mark
My dog was taught to climb on fallen trees and tree stumps when he goes for a walk in the woods. It helps keep him from getting too far away while he is off his leash. He is a big 75 pound dog. The one time I was going for a walk in the woods my dog went on a log that was at an angel. The high end was close to two meters in the air. I walked by the log and my dog must have ran across the log and jumped.
While walking I felt something hit me in the back hard at shoulder level. It was my dog trying to tackle me. He took me by surprise but l have strong core muscle so he did not knock me down. When he was younger he liked to play hungry wolf and attack me. Then he would role over so I could rub his belly. However that was not fun. It was painful and he ripped some of my clothes. He is still young but now that he is older he does not attack as often.
Hmm, I have many of stories of my dogs that I could tell from over the years, and I have written some already on Cookie (Jack Russell - very OCD dog -hyper), my dog now, and then of course on my "sweet Brownie boy;" a three-legged yellow lab - the best childhood pet anyone could have wished for in this life. But since I have already written or commented on those two pets, I thought about when my now husband, back in the day, new boyfriend, had just met, I was reminded of one of our little pets, who was a little mutt, but more so a cockapoo, who thought he was so fierce. Anyway, back in the day of being 17 years old, and my first and only boyfriend in this life to be, met, for some reason my boyfriend would bring his friend along to come visit at my house? We were both quite shy then, so he may have felt better about bringing his friend along for his insecurities as we were just getting to know each other as friends. Well, my dog, Cubby (don't ask me about the strange name, but that is what one of my siblings came up with) did not like the friend at all to say the least! Cubby was fine with my now hubbie, but boy when that other friend came along, Cubby would just go and run straight to his pants leg and try to eat him alive. However, this friend was a big guy, and little Cubby-Joe, yes, we added the Joe - crazy kids' names - did not make a dent in the big guy friend, but with the consistent barking and growling, FINALLY, the friend no longer cared to come by with my now hubbie - PRAISE THE LORD - as we could begin the real relationship and kissing under that shade tree. I think his friend may have wanted to be my boyfriend too, now that I think of it this day. Ha. So, thanks to little Cubby-Joe (LOL), for running off the other friend, otherwise, my husand and I may not be celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary tomorrow.
Wow Faith, your future depended on that little Cubby-joe? This was an awesome response dear friend. Thanks for joining us and pour your heart in this cute response.
Wow, lord -well, yes, looks that way - just following the question's lead here as to a dog somehow involved in one's relationship. If Cubby did not run the other guy off, maybe we wouldn't have gotten as close . . . I know dumb high school kids!!!
I turned 50 a couple of years ago and my husband had a surprise party for me. My girlfriend and I went out for awhile while my husband did his sneaky work and I came home to a house full of people. A short while after I came in I was talking to a group of people and my golden retriever came over and promptly peed on my leg. I was shocked, as was everyone else. Someone grabbed the dog and put him out on the deck and cleaned up the floor while I ran to the bathroom to wash my leg. The general consenses is that he was intimidated by the fact that everyone was paying attention to me and wanted everyone to know that I was HIS. It' s never happened again, thank goodness!!!
