Do you feel a sense of achievement or pride when you use hubpages?

Personally, I feel as though I have achieved something when I post a new hub, and I get all excited when I see my page views increase. I must say, it's rather addictive. Does anyone else agree?

No, anyone can get published on the web, it is no great shakes to get published on the writing sites.  I have a sense of achievement when I get a space in a real, print magazine, and when the cheque arrives and is safe and sound in my bank account.

Well done! I'm not a professional writer, so hubpages does well enough for me. My actual profession is graphic design, so I understand where your coming from. Good luck in the future!

I do get a sense of achievement, I agree with MickS anyone can publish on the web, and my goal is to eventually publish writings in print, but I look at this "venue" as a way of practice and learning so that I can become a better, more improved writer. Someday I will publish that article in a magazine, newspaper, or publish a book.

Yes, I was thinking that it would be good to publish something in print one day! I look forward to reading your book someday! Good luck!

    I definitely agree!
I feel a little bit of pride every time I publish a new hub. Also every time I get a new comment or follower, I feel happy. Plus it encourages you to keep on writing and publishing content!

I agree with MickS to a point. Yes, the money from the print world (and to some extent the world of electronic publishing via the Kindle) is fulfilling and redeeming. Hey, someone actually paid me for what I love to do. But I get as much joy helping other writers on HubPages. To receive a single comment like "you helped me" makes a huge difference in what I write and how I write it.

And the joy is immediate vs. the lag time in the print publishing world. My novels generally come out yearly while a hub takes 24 hours to go live--and get feedback.

You can see the entire list (print and e-books) at my website ( www.johnjeffreymurray.com ), but I am NOT shamelessly promoting them, okay? It's only a quick way to see them all. :~)

When I look at my account information? Definately. I love looking at my account and feel pride at seeing how many of my hubs are being read.

I get excited too. Especially just now when my hubscore reached 99 which was for the first time. Receiving a comment that my article was helpful also makes me happy.

No matter how miniscule and uninteresting my hubs are , everytime I publish something , yes , i feel good. and I am happy if people leave comments- which in my case is very few and only a handful.I am lucky ,people even read my articles as I really do not find them interesting enough for the general public to read.I write because,I like to write. It is therapeutic for me.

Hubpages is completely addictive! smile It's wonderful for that very reason! I am happier in myself since starting my hubpages account because I am achieving things on a regular basis. It is an achievement when I complete and publish a hub, and that sense of achievement only increases when the comments pile on and the traffic goes up. It feels too good to be wrong smile

I definitely agree. I am proud of my writing and hubs allow for a sort of instant gratification, just having something you made put out there for others to see. Once I've been doing this long enough to bring in some money, I'm hoping to gain another sense of achievement wink

Well this is the first time I have posted on Hub Pages.  But as a first timer I feel that yes I have accomplished something.  I am looking forward to many more.
