What is your favorite fictional animal?

Fish, fowl, etc. they all count. I have a favorite but am interested in seeing others choices. I will give up my fave a little later on.

Krysten: I love it! I was hoping for some characters outside the box...some that I had forgotten, and you offered a great one on the first answer. I too, loved Mousy Mouse. Thank you for the response, and welcome to hubpages!

Thanks, bravewarrior. Babar was one that I enjoyed growing up, and then I watched my children reading the stories a generation later. And now...my grandchildren!

Very good choice. It has been decades since I read that series and have thought about reading the first on again.

Lassie was a family favorite when I was growing up. And yes, I did find out years later that Lassie was actually a Laddie!

How could anyone not love Charlotte? Of course, wondering about my own favorite, Charlotte was one that immediately came to mind.

one dragon has been mentioned so far...Ruth of the Dragon Riders of Pern.

Personally, I've always been partial to H.R. Puffinstuff!
