      Lol. It's always been my dream to write a novel. I plan on writing one soon when I go on vacation. And was considering self-publishing?

      This particular one I've been working on for about a month. I wrote book 3 of the series for NaNoWriMo and finished it about a month ago. That one took roughly six months. I'm working on the first one now, which is what my most current hubs are.

   Thought about it - yes.  I'd like to write a memoir/self-help/clinical book on learning disabilities and mental illness.  Unfortunately, the long form is very intimidating, and no small irony that my suitableness to write to this topic might be the thing that make the organizational tasks and "seeing the forest" all but impossible and hence make writing a book pretty unlikely.

      Why don't you consider writing it and serializing it on hubpages? It won't be a traditional "book" but you can still have it online and can gain financially from it.

   I've been seriously considering it for some time now. I would have already started writing it but my current circumstances wouldn't allow it. It's my dream to one day publish my own novel.

      Me too. That is the one thing I would love to do. I am thinking about using a self-publisher though.

   Many, many times. But I have yet to finish writing a book. They always get edited, over and over again. I never feel like they are done.

      lol I always start, reach halfway through it and get bored and then stop. This is why I prefer writing short stories.

   Thought about it many times. First I wanted to do a self help book for freelancers online. So i did an ebook and posted it on my blog.
   Then I wanted to do a cook book, which I ended up writing recipes and party games on another blog.
   Then I decided to write a novel. Completed three short stories and realized I just don't have the patience to get into a sixty thousand word novel.
   Ah me, when I do finally get it all together I will publish it

      Same thing with me. I always start writing a book, reach halfway and give up. So I like writing short stories. But I considered serializing itt and posting it a chapter at a time on hubpages, thereby encouraging you to write more, even meet deadlines

   Yes, I have so many stories in my head. I have started writing a number of them and finished three, but only one is anywhere near complete. I am editing each chapter of 'Humanus - A legend awakes' and posting them on hub pages.
   
   It does not take much, just an hour a day and you can get the basic story down on paper. Then the hard part, editing it to make sure it flows and makes sense. Then the even harder part, convincing yourself that it is time to share your work with others.
   
   Getting feedback and constructive criticism does help you, as a writer to get better.
   
   As they say: practice makes perfect, so get writing. The sooner you start, the sooner you’ll become a published author.

      I think I would prefer a traditional publisher and all that they offer in support, but I am still looking into self publishing. After all 50 shades of grey didn't do to bad for a self published work.

   Yes -- almost done with a marketing book for crafters who want to learn how to position themselves as artisans while building a sustainable business around their work. I love marketing....hubby says that makes me sick in the head
