Does time seem to stand still when you write?

When you pick up a pen and paper or open your laptop and start to write; does time seem to stand still? Do you look at the clock and realise four hours have passed in what seemed like minutes?

    Hi DJ

Your right, time disappears without you even noticing that it is passing.

I end up staying up really late writing as it is my only free time.

I look forward to reading your story.

    Thank you

    Anna

Thank you Diane Grant for answering and for the drawing, which is scarily accurate!

We will never know about the wider response, interesting thought though.

Thank you sheilamyers for answering. It is easy to forget what's cooking when you are mid flow with writing.
