Cinquain - think cinco or five.
Five lines with specific rules or patterns to the poem.
first pattern goes like this: one word, two words, three words, four words, one word.
Unlike never asking
Which keeps you dumb.
second pattern goes like this: one noun, two adjectives, three "ing" words, followed by a phrase, then a final noun.
Eating, Delighting, Finishing
Nary a bite left
the third pattern is syllable-based: 2, then 4, then 6, then 8, then back to 2.
Playful, cute and messy
None of my clothes or shoes survive
It's easy & fun -- just don't ask me to pronounce cinquain. LOL
