I am currently getting a great readership for my new serial titled, "Revenge, Inc." right here at HubPages.  I'll admit, fiction writing doesn't normally get much love here, but I'm doing my best to change that.

About your question, there really is only one way to find out!  Give it a shot!  By the way, I have a lot of hubs that are fictional pieces, so I certainly doing exactly what I preach.

Just a word of caution from one writer to another... If you think you might want to publish this story, you may not want to put it on the Internet. Most publishers will not accept stories that have been published in any form, including the web.

An alternative may be to save that story idea and use it for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) next month. I am still trying to come up with an idea for it. The website for NaNoWriMo is nanowrimo.org. It's kind of cool since several writers are trying to write 50K words in November. The forums and encouragement are great.

You may want to try a different book idea for Hubs.
    Just a thought...

(Good Luck on NaNoWriMo if you sign up! I should go sign up myself now.)

I think that it's a good idea. I am writing a Western and giving my motivation at each step so that the thinking behind is completely exposed. I have never written a Western before, but I have seen so many that it shouldn't be hard, and this one is going to be mix of adventure, thrills and humor...with the emphasis on humor.
