God can do anything? Could he make a rock even he couldn't lift?
We are not at all suppose to question the guy upstairs, but I would like to know peoples opinion.
God would have to remove His own knowledge of the "lever" and how it works.
Why is it a 'GUY upstairs.' This is a phrase which has come into being in our Western culture over the past fifty or sixty years. 'Upstairs' meaning heaven and heaven being 'up there.' What about the GAL upstairs? Why does God have to be a man?
Given that God is omnipotent, omni present and omni scient, the He/She/It is everywhere. Which means that He/She or It are also in you. Now, you know that there are rocks already made that are heavier than you. Now if a part of you is God, then your questions is answered: Yes, God can - and has - made a rock that even He/She/It couldn't lift.
Wadja think o' that!
There is plenty to question the guy upstairs about. Or gal. Heck, maybe even bunny rabbit.
As far as the rock goes, if it were possible, then the god in question wouldn't be all powerful. If it were possible, then it still negates the all powerful part since its something god could not do, but in a less negative sense.
ts essentially why questions that lead to that kind of reasoning are frowned upon among "dedicated" followers of organized religion. Blows the whole thing out of the water at that point.
actually God cant do anything. he cant sin, he can go against his nature, he cant do things that are illogical. illogical things is what people do. the problem with this question is it treating God as if he were 2. its like asking can the strongest person in the world beat himself in an arm wrestling match? the question itself is incoherent because you need something to compare.
