I hear ya, FatFreddysCat! I learned on a non-electric typewriter back in H.S. Needed lots of hand coordination, too. So we had type to music (the Cha-Cha was the best). OMG, hilarious!
Heidi, now that is funny...we weren't allowed to use the electric typwriters until senior year. Over and over again, faster each time: "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog"
Yup, when I started my junior-high typing class I couldn't press the keys hard enuff to make any impressions on the paper, haha... so the teacher stuck me at an electric typewriter in the back of the room, and that's what I learned to type on.
