No, I am not an atheist at all. I do believe in God. In fact, I know that there's God. I just wanted to see how each view God. Each person has a different description & perception of what God is in his/her eyes.I am not religious but I AM spiritu
Sorry Grace, you have given me the impression you don't believe in God especially since you agree with atheists so often, but I take you at your word and apologize for my incorrect impression.
I feel that each person has a right to his/her religious, ethical, and or spiritual belief as long as h/she does not harm others and/or is respectful of other's rights to do the same whether it is religionist, atheist, or spiritualist.
Grace, I'm curious, being spiritual doesn't necessarily mean you believe in God or that God exists. Since you are not an atheist what God do you believe exists? The God of the Bible?
I see God as beyond limitations. He/she is beyond human definitions, descriptions, and labels. HE/SHE is limitless and all encompassing.
Many people imagine God in many different ways, but what are they basing their impressions of God on? Unless it is His word through which his nature and character are revealed to us by Him it is purely vain imaginations.
Will, I second your emotion.
Well, if you two would answer the question Grace asked, you could let us know what your description is of god. Instead, I guess it's just easier for you 2 to just misinterpret everything and think of yourselves as judge and jury of us egotists.
Will, I volunteer to be the first one taken to the woodshed.
Great answer indeed!
Since no one, including you, Lela, has ever seen God, how can you 'definitely' tell us what He is not? How would you know?
And again, you continually mock what others believe , a valid point you seem to resent whenever anyone points it out.
If asking the hard questions about religion are considered "mocking" your religion, I would say you need a better religion. Why don't you answer Grace's question rather than use it a spot to make fun of me?
There's a big difference between asking questions and mocking, Lela.
Oh really, why don't you explain that to us?
Believe it or not, there is a respectable and objectionable way to ask questions. Claiming you have a brain because you are an atheist and believers do not sets an arrogant tone.
Please provide the reference where I said that.
Oh you've got to be kidding me!
No, I am serious. And when you accuse me of something you had better damn well have proof of that.
How about the "where you're from?" Austinstar from reason and logic. You continuously imply the message that theists can't think.
How do you get "mocking" out of that statement? That is NOT an implication, it is simply a statement of how I think.
You continuously imply the message 24/7. That is all I am going to say about that.
I have implied no such thing.
Great answer? Creative writing category? Astar, If that's the best you can do at creative writing, I wouldn't consider giving up your day job, that is...do you have one?
The fact that you cannot see your own blatant condescension and mockery tells me that any further discussion is futile.
I'm really quite tired of all these personal attacks. But I am laughing at these pitiful attempts to antagonize me.
Please, no more personal attacks on Astar We are all grown ups here. Each person has a right to his/her belief whether religionist, atheist, agnostic, or spiritualist. There is NO one correct way of belief, there are many. Live and let live.
