As I Grew.....YOU knew...

Updated on October 16, 2013

Sharing an Experience.....

Experiencing the " Skim Board "....
Experiencing the " Skim Board ".... | Source

You knew just what to do...

As parents, we don't always know what to do..

but through trial and error we soon get a clue...

We raise our children as best as can be..

But it doesn't always ride on just you and me..

Friends and society influence much more..

but it's up to the parents to even the score...

The duty of parents is to set the trend...

and remain a parent and not just a friend...

You taught me many things in life...

like how to handle stress and strife...

and..as I grew..YOU always knew..

just when to push and when to pull..you always had a clue...

Throughout the years, I've always felt.

the words you spoke...could make hearts melt..

I thank you now for all you did...

and as parents... realize you raised a GREAT kid !

the lyricwriter...glad you enjoyed my poem..you are correct about moms, some try so hard to help us like " OCD"..but..there are those that don't bother with us at all..too much trouble..can't attest to which is better..but growing is a learning process...

Thank you for your words, deeply appreciated...I recently wrote two more....

Voted up, wesome, beautiful, and useful KJ! It is possible to relate to this poem in different ways. It took me years to realize that my mom was just trying to help me. I guess bing young and such, I just wasn't ready to listen. I look back and wonder why I acted like such a fool. I was growing up, maturing. Your poem is beautiful KJ. I am glad your putting them out:) Poems that is.LOL They are always a joy to read:)
