Building Life's Most Essential Relationship

Updated on January 25, 2015

Deborah L. Alexander is an author, business woman, wife to Doug for almost 40 years, a mother of three adult children & a grandmother of 4.

For me individually, a quest requiring the best book I ever read was easily answered. Only one book I have read could fit that description and it would be the Bible, God’s Holy Word. Charles F. Stanley's Life Principles Bible is a favorite edition of that best book ever, which I enjoy and look forward to reading daily.

What’s Inside This Exceptional Bible

This Life Principles Bible includes way more than any basic Bible since it is enhanced with many life examples and explanations all arranged in easy-to-follow order. In addition, it contains thirty life principles, each easily referenced to original scripture. An example of one of those thirty Life Principles is we reap what we sow, more than we sow, and later than we sow. What a person sows with their life will be what they eventually reap in the end, whether good or bad.

Why I Love the Bible More Than Any Other Book

Through the years of daily Bible reading, I have read the entire Bible more times than I can count. Many people may ask why would anyone be so dedicated to reading the Bible so often and so much. My answer to that question is found in the profound difference it has made in my life through the benefit of building a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. I am talking about a real, personal relationship with God, my heavenly Father and creator—not religion. There is a huge difference between the two.

The Secret to My Survival & Successful Life

My real relationship with God has pulled me out of the pit of my childhood beginnings, healed the damage I endured from the emotional abuse of my earliest years, and brought me to a place as an adult that is more comparable to a secure and stable dream-come-true. Walking with God and knowing Him is where real happiness, contentment, and peace are found while living on this earth. My childhood was filled with turmoil, chaos, and instability but the life my husband and I experience together is filled with love, peace, respect, stability, and security--a true description of our home & marriage for 36 years now. A life that is possible only because we put God first and He guides our lives. God placed the love in my heart for my husband and the love in my husband’s heart for me. And living for God daily keeps that love intact, nurtured, and growing providing a peaceful homelife. Our children reaped the benefits of being raised in a God-honoring home and now they each enjoy peaceful, happy homes of their own as well. A life lived for God creates a family legacy worth passing on.

What are the benefits reaped from daily Bible reading?

Experiencing God in a personal relationship that brings genuine peace and happiness to life is available for anyone. The truth is found by reading His message of love, meditating on that truth, and building a personal relationship with God. God has a unique purpose for everyone and when you live in that purpose, life has real meaning and it makes life worth living everyday. Plus, in the Bible one can find answers for any of life’s questions.

Hope for the Future

Life with God is a great adventure. Finding His unique plan, tailor made for each individual, is when life’s true adventure really begins for every person made in God’s own image—this excludes no one, since everyone living is God’s creation.

A thought provoking song about the end of life and the results of choices made

Day by day, living the Christian life can make a huge cumulative difference in the lives of others when you choose to love and help others along the way.

The tide approaching America is like a tsunami bringing political, social, & religious devastation plus how & why the direction of that tide needs to change.

Living in truth for the sake of future generations

I have followed Jesus for over 44 years. My life is forever better because of my relationship with my heavenly Father, through His Son. This is a life defining choice I would not change because it provides the best life possible, lived in truth, and passes on a family legacy of substance.

EXCELLENT subject! Nicely written. I also wrote a page about Dr.Stanley, he is the one who showed me the way back to Jesus and be Born Again. Only those that have the Holy Spirit living inside of them can understand the desire to read Gods word...I have read the Bible over and over for many years, and I always find something new. I can't imagine life without a relationship with our Lord and Savior, it has changed my whole life.

@BarbRad: Yes it is very helpful; kind of like getting mini-sermons from the preacher throughout the Bible. Thank you for visiting.

I have not yet seen this edition of The Bible. Sounds like the additional content on the 30 principles might be interesting.

Your sharing will likely influence others to read the book you promote. It's interesting how the term "bible" has come to be generic and that you take a book with this term in the title and describe how it led you to benefit from the Bible.
