curiosity: a poem

Updated on July 7, 2013

Babies have it,

teens have it,

adults have it,

even animals have it.

Looking for information or a thrill,

Curiosity can make you think.

Our minds wander about the what ifs.

We wonder for experience,

Questions that you would never ask before.

You ask yourself: if I do this, is it a mistake?

Will I get hurt?

What are the consequences?

Does it make me fearless or fearful?

There is no thinking at all at times and to just do it.

Once your mind is set on it, your question has been answered.

Curiosity killed the cat, but at least his wonder has been answered.
