Dead Society Poets - An Original Poem By Christopher Dapo
Dead society poet
This isn't about the deceased
And oh, wouldn't ya know it
What's inside is finally released
So here goes
A monster prose
Though, do not fear the beast
What this shows
Nobody knows
There's something here at least
Magnificent marvels
Amidst the carnivals
With no time to take a breather
How quickly they shimmey
Or wait by the chiminey
When sniffing the roses is sweeter
A moment in time
I'd lost my mind
Then found it again
Yet lost my pen
I solved my blight
So started to write
Suddenly I had nothing to say
...
...
Yay!
I got it I think
I'll start with a fink
Whose thwarted objective's alone
I'll throw in a cop
Whose plan is to stop
Simply by throwing a bone
Ah, but why
Instead I think I
Start over this plot I digress
Instead of a man
A monster, and in hand
Screams a beautiful woman's distress
Oh wait, that's no fun
It's been so overdone
What about stealing money?
But that's not even funny
What if gangsters start shootin'?
But I'm already boo-in'!
Have I done lost my mind?
What the hell am I doin'?!
Ahh, I see, I know it!
For line after line
A Dead Society Poet
Ended here, just fine.
Toodles - I'ma go eat some noodles! ;)
