Shadow Transit

Updated on April 22, 2016

Greedy, they steal caresses

Indifferent eyes steal dignity

Lips that leave a bitter taste

Please forgive me…

I wandered past your shadow

Cast my former self

Reminded of the beauty

In awe of the stealth

Her feet are worn

Limbs are thin

Her eyes are burdened

I begin to peel off my sins

A blood soaked heart

I admire the pain

Bones exposed

It is the beginning of the end

A passage through a graveyard

Sealing every tiny death

Pieces of my soul

The mourning steals my breath

I suffocate

My soul eternal as my body begins to fail

I’ve survived the storm and every evil piece of hail
