Poem: God Bless Females, Women and Girls
Females, Women and Girls
There are three things men don’t understand,
Three things they are confused about,
Three things that puzzle them;
Females, women and girls.
There are three things men are grateful for,
Three things they cannot do without,
Three things they will live to cherish;
Females, women and girls.
To mothers for their caring and loving heart,
To sisters for their concern and advice,
To ladies for their comfort and warmth;
God bless females, women and girls.
How would life be without them,
How would life be for men without them,
And how would I know the much am blessed,
If females, women and girls didn’t exist.
It is a fact that women (mothers), females (young women) and girls (teenagers and the under years) are the beauty of the world. They are in essence beauty reflected from the creator of the earth and everything in it.
This is not to say men, males and boys are also not the beauty of the earth but the above poem is a dedication to them. The reason for writing the above poem is because of the increased violence against women and girls. They are discriminated by men and their rights are not respected.
Consider a father who rapes her 10-year old daughter, a young girl who is denied education while her brothers are in school, a woman who has been beaten badly because she didn’t cook food and is nursing serious injuries or is in critical condition in the hospital. Every week around the world, news keep emerging of the abuse meted on women.
This is one reason why United Nations designated 25th November as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This is in order to raise awareness of the violence meted on women and to show men and boys why women and girls are important in the society and that they have rights like everyone else. This is also when awareness is raised of the laxity and don’t care attitude of governments of many countries who have not passed laws to stop violence against women and deal with the perpetrators.
So, are women inferior? No. men should be grateful for it is their mothers who took care of them from the pain she experienced while giving birth, feeding them on milk from her breast and food, washing their dirty clothes and other things. I would want to find out which man can point a finger at mothers and say he did it himself. Should we not as men be grateful that through women the world has witnessed remarkable accomplishments from men, example Isack Newton?
Looking at the world, it is interesting to note women have gone to greater lengths achieving a lot of things men were unable to. Look at women who are presidents and hold various top positions in government offices and big companies; and tell me, if they are weak in their mind as men say they are.
To all females, women and girls may God Bless You, for without you, am not sure how this life would have been.
It makes me wonder why men say we don't need women. Time for men to accept the fact that women can do what men can and more than what men can do. It is a fact.
