Fibrefusion, Contemporary Textile Art Group

Updated on January 30, 2012

Muslin - a Stitched Exploration of Loosely Woven Fabrics

This is so exciting. We did it! Fibrefusion, the contemporary textile art group that I belong to, has just published their 5th book: Muslin - a Stitched Exploration of Loosely Woven Fabrics. The group has previously published 4 other books on experimental and contemporary hand and machine embroidery. All 5 books are avaiable from our website http://fibrefusion.org.uk

'Muslin - a Stitched Exploration of Loosely Woven Fabrics' is an inspirational workbook with lots and lots of samples and ideas on how to use the humble fabric muslin. Its a fun, colorful book with lots of inspiration on how to push the boundaries even further. Fibrefusion have had a lot of fun spending this last year exploring Muslin and its possibilities. I hope you'll have as much fun as we have had :-)

Muslin, a Stitched Exploration of Loose Weave Fabrics

Here it is! A picture of 'my' textile group Fibrefusion's brand new book, Muslin, a Stitched Exploration of Loose Weave Fabrics'.

It was so much fun being part of making this book. A new and very exciting process. A wonderful challenge to see a book take shape.

Fibrefusions 16 Textile Artists will be exhibiting at Art Van Go in celebration of our new book will be on display until the 15th of October 2011. On most days Fibrefusion members will be there to meet you and demonstrate various muslin techniques. Looking forward to see you there :-)

Following this post you'll find links to Fibrefusion and Art Van Go for more information about the group, book and exhibition.

Your textile art group sounds like they really enjoy working together with textiles. Those seed heads above are lovely.
