   What is your motivation for writing?
   
   Some days it's hard to drag yourself out of bed, let alone write something that people will want to read. What is it that really motivates you to write?

   When I have something I really want to share and that I think it will be really helpful to those who are in similar situations and want to get some tips or insights.  If my experience or knowledge can help anyone, this makes me feel good and also an incentive to write.  Of course if it will also makes some money, that's a lot better.

   For me it really does simply boil down to personal satisfaction. Most of what I write these days is opinion based, and I generally feel strongly about the topics I choose to write about. It's wholly interesting to me what other people think, not just about the topics I write on, but what they think about the opinion I have on a particular topic. Hub Pages has proven to be a very interesting place for a writer like me, who enjoys the interaction, who enjoys the debate, and who also enjoys exploring my own ideas and how they resonate or do not with the rest of the world.

   I'm going to sound like a nutcase, but I believe God installed me on this planet at this time to help spread a message as old as time itself. We are one race. We need to take care of ourselves. We have tremendous potential, if only we open our eyes to it.

   My main motivation for writing in the past was to get my thoughts on paper where I could see them and sort out the confusion swirling in my left-brain/right-brain consortium. My reasons for writing have since evolved into wanting to share some of these insights with others, where they can be encouraged to grow and change along with me.

   Motivation for writing...well I enjoy putting my thoughts into visible words, i feel like I can contribute some of my knowledge of what I know to the world and the main motivator....I think it keeps me thinking and my brain in gear, I'm always thinking of what else I can write about too bad I always forget by the time I get home

   My motivation is that I have to have an outlet for all the whirring ideas in my head.... unable to sleep sometimes I find myself in the dark hours chuckling to myself after a ridiculously funny antedote entering my head and simply must write... Being told I;m strange or think in an odd way makes me write also???.......................Its the one thing in life that seems to link people through experiences and trauma and I so love to recieve feedback where another has found in comon with my thoughts..  Ultimatley it makes me smile when people relate to the rantings from my jumbled up head :-)

   My motivation to write comes purely from my love of it. For as long as I can remember, writing has been very therapeutic for me. Often when I begin to write about a particular subject or about a personal matter, ideas that I didn`t even know I had jog loose.

    Writing is an addiction...I'm an ink junkie (well, a keyboard junkie I guess) ...it's a way of leaving your footprints in the sand once you've shuffled off this mortal coil. Concise writing also helps you to clarify your thoughts and arguments which is always useful when putting your case as one human being to another. Fictional writing is probably the most fun thing in the world, because you run the story, you're fully in control, anything can happen... perhaps it's a way of controlling something when your own life is out of control...dunno.

    My biggest motivation is my readers. It's about bringing joy to someone's day or provoking thought in someone's mind. It's an awesome feeling.
