   I read National Geographic and the Smithsonian magazine cover-to-cover usually. I prefer in-depth articles that cover the world, and these two magazines provide them every month. Their photography is excellent, and they're usually topical despite their monthly status.

   I keep a subscription to SMITHSONIAN, and after I read it from cover to cover, pass it along to a 13-year-old family member who reads voraciously and absorbs learning like a sponge. He, too, loves this magazine. This way, I get the double the value for my money (on top of a senior citizen discount for the publication).
   
   I don't subscribe to VANITY FAIR, but (depending on the article titles on the cover) buy one or two during the year. This publication often has journalistic exposes that I find interesting.
   
   My "just for fun" magazines include those that allow me to daydream about renovating and redecorating my home--things I can't afford to do in actuality.  My favorites are the relatively new HGTV magazine (I don't have cable, so I don't watch the channel), for which I have a subscription, plus a couple that I occasionally buy off the shelf. The titles vary, according to my whims at the time. One I particularly like is THIS OLD HOUSE. I tend to keep them for a while and read them more than once, then pass along to a family member or friend.  Magazines should be shared rather than thrown away. Sometimes I take a few along to an appointment with my doctor to leave in her waiting room.
   
   Other than these, I read online. I'm afraid the costs of printing and postage, plus the decline in sales of print magazines, will eventually (probably sooner rather than later) drive these publications online--for a price.

   All of them.. I get tired of looking at a computer screen. I like to sit back and casually thumb through a magazine. I enjoy Nat'l Geographic, People, Good Housekeeping, and Reader's Digest is my favorite. I don't read magazine much anymore, no time.

   I currently have a subscription to Parents magazine. I also enjoy reading O and the Reader's Digest. I don't read magazines on-line. I much prefer a hard copy.

   I like National Geographic, German Life, Renaissance, Scientific American, Astronomy. Occasionally I'll pick up a photography magazine or a travel magazine.

    I read Entertainment Weekly, and my wife subscribes to Rachael Ray's Everyday (or whatever it's called).
    
    We also still receive "Parenting" magazine...apparently a subscription to that was a free gift to us from the hospital when our son was born, ten years ago. ?? Haha. As far as I know we've never received a renewal notice or a bill for it, yet it still keeps coming!! Rather odd.

    I read the BBC's 'Good Food'; it gives me inspiration (which I need!) for cooking, suggests manageable recipes and gives great illustrations.  I also read 'SAGA' (which shows my age!) which is full of interesting articles about life, travel and interesting celebrities (I'm not sure if SAGA is known outside the UK but it's for the over 50s).
    I'd much rather read a 'real' magazine rather than everything online; it's easier to pick up a magazine now and then and it's much better for bedtime reading.
