    Hi Misbah,

Thank you for your moving and heart-tearing poetry that I really loved to read. The fact that you were inspired to write it by a Urdu/Hindi poetic verse written by an anonymous poet makes it more mysterious and alluring. Gratitude for the enchanting share.

      Hello Misbah!
Beautifully expressed poem, and well thought of.
As far as I know, these lines are by Sahir Ludhianvi, and part of a song, sung by Talat Mahmood, from an old Hindi movie.
How lyrics and music matches our mood at a particular moment, is really amazing.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful article.
Thank you Rosina for highlighting this in the forum.
Best Wishes to both of you for the week ahead.

Di, thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind response. I've never heard the song, but I first heard these lines in SRK's film 'Dar' when I was a teenager. I've always loved these lines since I was a teenager. Yesterday, while preparing iftar, these lines came to my mind, and I decided to write something about it. I am glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for enlightening me about the song's lyricist and singer. Much Gratitude!

        Take care and stay healthy.

Many Blessings and Love as always!!

Ravi, thank you so much for your kind and generous comment. Wow, 1950s. That truly amazed me. It's incredible that the lyrics have survived for seven decades and have been passed down from generations to generations. I first heard these lines in SRK's film 'Darr' about 15 years ago. I've always admired these lines from that time. In my opinion, these lines are both beautiful and profound. Thank you so much for sharing this information with me.

      Take care and stay healthy

      Sending Blessings to you!!

That quote by C.S. Lewis at the end is so true.  What you wrote is also true, Misbah.  Poems can  be taken literally, or understood between the lines.  Thanks Rosina for sharing this piece by Misbah.

Your poem is very moving, Misbah, especially the thought of tear's ink and paper that cries. The imagery and ideas in the poem are important.

    Misbah...
What a wonderful & insightful poem.

Some of do read between the lines, but none of us truly know the pain one endures or the tears that flow while the pen creates its work.

Your poems express the pain of living with a psychopath very clearly. They are written in a fashion that allows you to feel her pain, Misbah. You are a very talented poet. Love and many blessings!

Thank you for posting Misbah's article Rosina.
