Take a moment To read A.B.'s excellent piece on how the seasons play an important part in our lives.
https://discover.hubpages.com/literatur … -Our-Lives
A.B,
In your article, "Seasons of Life Shape and Reshape, They Teach and, Oftentimes, They Wear Us Down; Either Way, Seasons Change Us" you capture the way many of us feel during our lives.
We are all sad about the state of this country and Covid really hit us hard.
I'm so glad to hear you were spared the wrath of Ian.
The pictures I'm certain do not due it justice.
But you are right about how we go about our life.
We plan...we think we know how everything will go..until we run into a road block and our world turns upside down.
In your poem, "A Melancholy State of Mind" you remind us how our best laid plans often get torn apart when we least exoect it.
How as we get older we seem to become a bit wiser and accept life as it is...praying that everything will turn out okay.
The seasons of life touch us all. We learn and we are guided by each step we take in life.
We look forward to each new season
Thank you Brenda! I think that this one was right at the surface, waiting for a prompting.
This was an interesting article and poetry. A good response to the prompt “seasons.” Well done A.B.
Hello A B Williams!
An excellent and thoughtful response to the word prompt. Your deep thoughts are well expressed in the article, giving a whole new interpretation to the word, seasons.
I agree with you that most of the times, things do not happen as we plan them. But, we have to keep moving— .
I liked reading your insightful thoughts. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Brenda!
Hi abwilliams, beautifully written truths about life and the seasons we move through in our experiences. You've touched on so much that is relatable.
My favorite line:
"There comes a time in one's life when the years ahead are so much fewer than those which have been left behind."
Powerful reality of life that we take for granted.
Blessings on your recovery and rebuilding in FL.
It is interesting that you feel changed by Covid. One thing is certain, your friends at Hubpages are thankful for your recovery.
Thank you Yves! It was nice to be missed...by a couple of people at least!
I've lost my love for the taste of coffee and tea {two life long loves} I only continue to drink them out of habit. I feel as if, not only my taste buds have been altered, my mood {for lack of a better word} has been altered as well. I know it sounds weird, but I've talked to other people who have said the same. I took an anti-viral, maybe that's the culprit {never got vaccinated} some of those stories are worse than mine!!
I don't know what it is, I just feel different.
An illness, such as the one you suffered...can change your outlook.
We're just glad you are back and in good health now.
Life is ours for a season...keep living it.
Keep being you.
Amen Brenda and thank you!
I can only be me, it sounds too exhausting to try to be anyone else.
Amen...be yourself. We love you just the way you are
Just saw this today. Really meaningful. I love the line: "Not expecting perfection, but what would be nice is less conflict, less strife." Hoping that comes for all of us with the next season. Thanks for the link, Brenda. Best to you going forward, A.B.
Amen to that MsDora!!
Thank you for taking the time to comment and for your well wishes.
I wish you the best, as well.

Chitrangada has written a great series of poems on seasons, their different facets, and how we humans can relate to the vagaries of seasons, be it spring or summer. Thanks, Chitrangada, for sharing this beautiful set of poems in response to Brenda's...
