John has written a thought-provoking poem giving a great social commentary on the world and humanity.

We, as John mentions, live in contradictions and then hope for good things to happen. But while hoping, we ignore that goodness and the choices start with us. We, humans, have the power to either create a better world or go into self-destruct mode and destroy our peace. Thanks, John, for sharing. The link is below.

As I read this poem I was also thinking how thought provoking it was, Ravi.  There was sure a lot of truth in the poem, John. You highlighted so many contradictions, and it made the poem very interesting.

These are to name a few the dilemma the world has given us. I've been pondering something similar as well. But I guess that's how two-faced people can be. It somehow sparked an inspiration for me to write again but im still not sure. Thank you and so glad to see a new hub from you John!

This was a poem to ponder on bringing into awareness so many contradictions we face in this wide world. It was actually food for thought and I enjoyed reflecting on it, deciding which contradictions I face on a daily basis. Thank you for sharing your majestic poetry after a long time. Good to go through your flowing poetry once again.

Thanks, Ravi, for sharing John's post.

    John...
You've written the perfect poem about how we deal with our world.

It is absolutely magnificent...Well done my friend.
We do live in a world where we throw food away...while being worried about starvation.

We all want solutions...but we don't take the ideas.

Youve definitely got this one down.

    I'm glad you're back...but I'm still a bit absent.

I'm certain it will all work out before too much longer...
But I'm glad you took a rest....
Your words were well worth the wait.

    Hello John,
What a wonderful composition! You have beautifully pointed out the contradictions and hypocrisies, often experienced in the society.
Preaching is easy, but practising the same principles, is rarely found.
Thank you for sharing another one from your pen, with a thought provoking and social message for all.
I am also not able to publish much here, for no or multiple reasons. Glad to see you back, and thanks for inspiring me.
Thank you Raviji for sharing John’ s work.

Thanks Linda. You said it … we have the power within our grasp, minds, and hearts to make the difference we need. Hopefully I can continue writing more often now, but life is busy at the moment.
