And Behold the Breath of God

Updated on October 6, 2014

I Looked To the Sky; Behold the Breath of God

We were enjoying a lovely evening on the Gulf Coast, facing westward towards the setting sun ... And the sky lit up in rainbow hues ...

Behold the Breath of God

Reaching down from the sky like God's Breath

The clouds are among the most beautiful

ever seen

Hearkening the Sun's temporary death

When the sky goes dark and velveteen

Would that I could reach those strokes

Painted with the Master's brush

Stronger than any words bespoke

My soul and heart forever touched

Sunset Sonnet

Mauves and peaches auraed by golden flames

Divide the ebon night from sun warmed day

More beautiful than what's in artists' frames

They captivate; on upturned chins hold sway

Science has described how all this takes place

But can such beauty be but random chance

Like slender heart made by two swans' embrace

I'd venture that something affects life's dance

If we osmose such resplendence within

To spit some measure back upon our world

Our brighter hearts would gain inspiration

To quell our many heartaches so embroiled

So, golden flames cast aura multi-hued

And in so doing have our faith renewed

You certainly have a talent with words! I just got back from Florida, stayed in Fort Meyers Beach and took some awesome sunset photos...you just can't go wrong at the Gulf of Mexico with these timeline photos.

Very nice, an original topic for a lens and some great photos too. I love sunsets, blessed.
