Grandma never had a doll~

When she was growing up.

Now her house is filled with dolls~

As well as angels, teddy bears~

And lots of other fancy stuff!

Grandma collects these things because~

Of those days when her family had it ruff.

It is as if Grandma can~

 Never ever have enough!

Grandma has antique dolls~

Collected from family ages in the past~

They have pretty petty-coats~

As well as fancy colorful hats.

She has boy dolls with knickers~

And Dimpled cheeks~

As well as the tiniest shoes~

You ever saw on little feet.

Grandma has girl dolls with lacey frills~

Their hair is long, curly and blonde~

As well as red and straight~

Really any type of hair~

That can be found thru God’s grace.

She has Teddy bears that sit up~

Lining on the side of the stairs.

Bears that wear all sorts of clothes~

As if time from an activity froze.

Teddy’s that stand in unique poses~

As well as ones that sit in chairs~

 With red bright noses.

Angels fill the mantle~

They dance and call~

They wear very little ~

As well as nothing at all.

Grandma has dolls from fairy tales~

Like Hansel and Gretel~

Whom sit there silently telling their story~

Without a care or a nibble.

She has Indian dolls~

Little dolls~

Big dolls~

Some that are held up by stands~

A few could sit comfortably~

In the palm of your hand.

Bears that play tunes~

Even ones that are to play with~

For when children come to stop~

They occupy them so they~

Don’t run awry in the house.

Christmas dolls~

Easter dolls~

Dolls that with frowns and smiles~

It appears the dolls could line up~

 And go on for miles!

Angels that play instruments~

Angels that can light up a tree~

Angels of all ethnicities~

Angels made of glass~

Even angels that sit with their legs~

 Dangling over the curtain sash.
