Green Lantern: The Emerald Shield

Updated on October 5, 2015

Green Lantern Corps

Green Lantern Corps the Universal police force. Harnessing the power of will, their limits are truly their imagination.

I've only been interested in reading Green Lanterns story is when I heard about Hal Jordan becoming Parallax. Once I've read about it, it was awesome then the Darkest Night and Brightest day came out. Long story short Hal Jordan is now one of my favorite super heroes. The Movie that came out a while ago was great. I thought any way. The only thing is, I don't know why but I would have liked to see Hal with the white gloves. The difference in costumes of the green lanterns is a pretty cool thing to see but that was my one and only dislikes of the movie. Everything else was kinda expected from a movie based superhero.

Check Back for Updates.

Abin Sur

Played by Temuera Morrison (Star Wars Jango Fett) in the latest movie. Known more for being the predecessor of Hal Jordan. He also has a story of his own though. Abin Sur is actually Sinestro's brother-in-law. Abin Sur was protector of space section 2814.

More is revealed here if you want to know more specifics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abin_Sur

Greatest Green Lantern In My Book

Harold "Hal" Jordan Green Lantern, the first human shown to join the Green Lantern Corps and a founding member of the Justice League of America. He replaced the original Green Lantern Alan Scott from the Golden Age of Comic Books. With out actually replacing him directly because they took the Green Lantern story into a new direction creating the Guardians and the Intergalactic police force known as The Green Lantern Corps.

In Emerald Twilight Hal Jordan turn into the supervillain Parallax. Later, in the Zero Hour mini-series, he attempts cosmic genocide. He was replaced by Kyle Rayner as the new Green Lantern for the Modern Age of Comic Books. He attempted to return to his heroic roots by dying to save the Earth, and later returned as a spirit of redemption as The Spectre. Hal Jordan was resurrected in the 2004 miniseries Green Lantern: Rebirth, which revealed that Parallax was actually an alien parasitic entity that influenced his prior villainy. He subsequently returned to the Green Lantern Corps and became the protagonist of the subsequent volumes of Green Lantern. Hal Jordan became my favorite Green Lantern because of these struggles in his attempt to be a super hero.

Kyle Rayner

Kyle Rayner, a Lantern by chance... maybe. Rayner came across a blue alien (A Guardian) in a alley whom presented him the most powerful weapon on Earth. Now this would've been the greatest, with saving people, becoming a hero, having someone with him. But as usual tragedy strikes. As Major Force kills his girlfriend trying to get information about him. Now that would set anyone over the edge, but with the help from an unexpected visitor a fellow Lantern (Allen Scott no less) tells or shows him that he is needed. He tells/shows him the history of Hal Jordan and cause he single handily destroy the Green Lantern Corps which resulted Rayner receiving the Ring.
