Peverell Family Crest

According to the Harry Potter Wikia, "Marvolo Gaunt claimed Peverell blood through the female line, and had a ring with what he claims is the Peverell crest, which actually was the sign of the Deathly Hallows. This ring was set with the Stone of Resurrection, and later became one of Voldemort's Horcruxes."

@anonymous: I think Rowling has a site where you can post questions to her. This is a really good question and maybe it will spot her eye and she'll answer it on her website. I'm very curious to know the answer so when you find out, please post again! :)

What I don't understand is how did Cadmus have a family if he killed himself over his beloved? In the "Tale of the Three Brothers" he had hopeless longing for her, but it never says they had a family. The hopeless longing would allude that he could not have her the way he wanted- which could include having a family. He brought her back because she was the one who he "hoped to marry". "She grew cold and distant for she did not belong in the mortal world"...I wish this was clearer to understand how the family lines run to the Gaunt family. Is it possible that Antioch had a family who found the stone and knew what it was to pass down through the family line???

This is excellent. I think that it would also be interesting to have Tom Riddle/Lord Voldemort's family tree on here too.

A little too confusing for me, but I bet my kids would understand the entire thing since they are HP fans! :)
