Honorable Servitude

Updated on September 30, 2018

Those respectable servants of society, chosen by the public,

Having the honor to uphold, their roles of those to be implicit.

Not to misuse or misconstrue, their titles, adhere to each one,

All rules to work by, drawn from the masses, follow until done.

Servants of the people, a sole purpose, making good decisions,

Elected and meant to represent the best, having better visions.

No matter a political group of any members, honesty above all,

Give a reason to respect public interest, in answering every call.

Our elected officials should always remember their goals,

The fair, undeniable acts in the fulfilling of their own roles.

The abuse or misuse of power is inexcusable, not allowed,

Behavior should represent all sanity, theirs not disavowed.

The honorable servant of the public must respect each law,

Never allow any breach or bending just one, without a flaw.

Their service always beyond reproach, giving their very best,

Leaving future servants of the public, a legacy of no protest.

If every member of the public beneficiary does fully comply,

Then all their good reports, upon them, we can always rely.

If a single man or woman in our own fine public's servitude,

Misbehaves, wrongly acts, their employment to be reviewed.

There can never be exceptions to established rules, the laws,

A revoking of those employed, to be dismissed, by just cause.

We are a nation of rules and regulations, it will never go away,

Every soul on this earth, subjects of law, prices they must pay.
