How To Cut Your Writing Time In Half

Updated on January 3, 2015

But I do not own a Kindle

You do not need a Kindle Reader in order to view your Kindle e-books. If you are not aware of it, Amazon provides an option whereby you can start reading your e-books via the cloud as soon as you have completed your checkout process. This is all you need to read your books again and again. Then once you purchase a Kindle you can download your choices and carry them with you.

21 Ways to Writer Faster

Freelance writer, Bryon Hufford has written this extremely useful text “Write Fast: 21 Powerful ways to Cut Your Writing Time in Half". Bryon shares his proven techniques, showing us ways in which we can write more content in less time. I purchased my copy several weeks ago and have reviewed it many times. I haven’t quite cut my writing time in half, but the techniques I have learned from reading this book have me working considerably more productively.

Bryon describes his methods for organizing, planning, focusing, and developing creativity, so that you too can begin writing faster. His book is divided into 21 informational chapters, each describing a separate way to write faster. Just one technique could have you writing faster, but combining several of them will magnify the results.

One of my favorites is Chapter #3 – "The Method For Motivating Your Fingers to Move Faster". In this chapter Bryon introduces us to the Pomodoro Technique and describes how he adapts this concept as a method for writing more efficiently.

If you are a slow typist (like me), you will appreciate Chapter #4 – "Use Your Voice To Speed Things Up". I won’t give away too much, but the average person speaks at a rate of about 150 words per minute.

Additional chapters cover such topics as using templates, repurposing your content, and why marathon writing sessions may not be such a good idea. If you’re serious about writing faster, I seriously recommend reading this kindle e-book by Bryon Hufford.
