How Hubpages is Addictive - Ways to Make Money on Hubpages

Updated on October 3, 2011

Addicted to hubpages while earning extra income

I joined hubpages over a year ago, when I was doing a search on how make money online. Dont ever expect to make money on a site that wants you to give money, this is not the case with hubpages. Hubpages is a place to write, publish and earn an extra income. best of all, Hubpages is also free. On hubpages you can set up affiliate accounts with google, ebay, Amazon, and Kontera. Although, I havn't had much luck with Kontera, I just continue to write and the money keeps comming in. Over time you will earn money faster and faster. Dont expect to get right rich when you first start out because it takes time to write articles and get traffic. It was about a year when I recieved my first check for $100, but I only had 35 articles at the time. If you have the time, your earnings can be much greater. I work outside of my home so its hard for me to find the time to continue to write.

Getting Started on Hubpages

Sign up for an account at hubpages, creating a user name and password. At that time you will have an option to sign up for google adsense. Create an article. Do not ever copy anyone elses articles online because it will be caught and red flagged.  Choose a topic you know well or do some research. Articles with pictures tend to do well and make sure the article is atleast over 200 words. Longer articles tend to also do better then really short ones.

The Final steps is to promote the Hubs you have written by social book marking sites, although I do not do much of this and the money keeps flowing in anyhow. I am also active in the forums answering questions and posting questions. Do not post your articles in the forums, many people make this mistake and its annoying to some of the members.

After a year on Hubpages

After a year on Hubpages and my first check was delivered to my mailbox after the $100 threshhold was met. It took about a week after it was sent out for me to recieve it.  I would highly recommend everyone to this site if you have the time to write. I cant seem to stay off Hubpages, constantly looking at my earnings everyday. And the earnings keep comming and comming,

If you would like to sign up at Hubpages to write and make money sign up here.....

K, Yes, any writing can be addictive. My teachers always told me I couldn't write I have a Romantic-Tragedy coming out soon.

I'm TOS on Hub, but I write for fun. A friend with a crush on me, clicked on my Google ads for 20 minutes. Do you think they spotted it; I am TOS? I wish I knew how to promote myself on social media sooner, being old isn't all good. I will follow you.

A movie producer is doing one of my scripts as a short for the film festival circuit. We just agreed to it two days ago.
