idleness

Updated on November 29, 2015

Idleness, will wither away,
every little charm, day by day.

Today is derived from yesterday,
tomorrow will be further away.
Attempt a challenge, unlike,
break an established habit,

Like a sprout out of soil,
get out of hard shell.
Never fear to err,
ruffle few feather.

When without kicks to belly,
a newborn is called, still,
then living, idle,
is a sure way to hell.

Excuse for Idleness

What are the reasons for people to live an idle lifestyle ?

Idleness has many reasons as in the flash poll.Fear as drag is as much as fear motivation!

Also as Tagore says the Bird is twice born, first on breaking the shell and again when soaring the sky! So there can be rediscovery in a man with time.

Thanks gypsy for the visit and reply. Yes, some idle period is always needed. Some unwinding is necessary.

Check my poem that i wrote in continuity to this poem.

      "unwind".

Nicely penned. As for me cannot remember last time I was idle and could use one idle day per month.

Actually, this fits your 'unwinding-to-be-poem quite a lot:http://hubpages.com/literature/Sleep-A-Sonnet-by-M... But here is the one of which I speak. Similar to your idleness poem, funny enough. It is called. Awake, O My Mind, Don't Sleep! Lots of Love.

Powerful message. I think that it was because of your great messages that I wrote my sleep poem. One of them anyway. Yes, bro. Procrastination is not great. Thanks for urging us forward into this journey life. Peace.
