Interviewing Joseph De Cross aka: Lord De Cross
Joseph de Cross
Calling On Joseph de Cross
wanting to see if I could get an interview with the great Lord De Cross and keeping my fingers crossed, and holding my mouth right I had convinced him to meet me (Michelle Anderson) roving reporter for the Hub at the Corner café On 12th and 6th street for coffee and a promising interview.
My name is Michelle; I am a new freelance Amateur Journalist. I am interviewing Writer Joseph De Cross, today August 17, 2012, at 3:00 pm Eastern time.
I am so excited about interviewing Joseph. He is quite a character. His hubs range from sad to laughter to making you take a test of your mind. Ever since I started following Joseph oh my, what can I say, I am amazed and I feel like a better person for reading his great hubs.
After Deborah Brooks convinced me to do this I have to say I think I will kiss her later..Hee Hee.
When up walked a tall good-looking man with dark eyes and dark hair, wow what a looker. The muscles ripping out of his shirt must be from all the typing he does on his laptop.
It was a hot humid day and we both were sweating to boot or was it the excitement of the moment? I will not speculate.
He sat down and shook my hand and with a deep voice he said “Hi, I am Joseph aka Lord!”
Wow amazed, I sat with my mouth hanging open. I swear he looks like presidential material to me.
Getting my voice together I managed to get the interview started.
INTERVIEWING OUR FELLOW WRITER
Joseph De Cross
“ Glad to see you here Michele!”
“Thank you, Joseph, great Writer and Hub friend, so good to meet you. First off I want to say I am honored that you would let me interview you I know Debbie is excited but she wishes she could have been here herself.”
Okay answer this question.. "What makes the Lord De Cross so wise?"
Lord: Well, it is in the genes Michelle, my father was an avid reader and it might be due to a loving mom as well. I'm as normal as any one Michelle it is just that, we love to read and write.
”Joseph, how long have you been writing?”
Joseph: “I could say, since first grade. My imagination started with my first written words: Mother, father, family and so on... but honestly I got serious since 2004.
“Where do you find your inspiration?”
Joseph: “This is very complex dear Michelle. All can relate to this. It comes from own view of the world. I might have a title in mind and then I get to work on a hub (article).”
“Who are some of YOUR OWN FAVORITE AUTHORS?”
Joseph: “I should say, Jean Jacques Rousseau, Jules Verne, Arthur C. Clarke, and others that I forgot to name.”
“What do you love to write most about?”
Joseph: “About life: I love to make people smile, feel, and experience life through our writing. Could be a poem, a fiction piece, or just a ranting, our mind is really unpredictable...”
“Joseph, Are you are working on a book to be published can you tell us about it?”
“Yes, it is unfinished book that take us to another world. It starts in the mountains of Colombia, and might end in another planet. We don't know the ending yet, but is half way done. We did travel to Colombia several times for research though.”
“What are your favorite hubs; they could be yours and or another hubber?”
“I like those hubs that move us. We can choose Billybuc, Cloud Explorer, Curiad, MissOlive or Aevans. I can name so many and the list can take more than 2 pages. Of course I love Deborah Brooks’ poetry, and she has shared her thoughts with us on FB.”
“Beside your book what projects are you currently working on?”
“Actually, taking it easy, we have a day job that keeps us busy, and we are having fun, reading and commenting on wonderful hubs. We apologize if we don't have time to check on all of our wonderful friends at HP.”
“Joseph, tell us a little bit about your writing style?”
“I think it comes from real life. We have been through loss and real pain. Our humor is innate, and our style has been evolving by the day. Team Hub Pages have seen us grow, and we appreciate their valuable help behind the scenes, and also we recognize their efforts by putting us on the limelight with a new profile platform.”
“Joseph, what advice do you have for other struggling authors and writers on the hub today?”
“Mainly to trust in your own self, you need to work on your style, and start by writing about things that you really know about. Hub Pages knows when you did a great job. We all win when we improve our writing. Certainly, at times, you need a break. We listen to music, go out, cook, sing, and just have fun..!”
“Tell me about your family life?”
“I have three sons, ages 27, 18 and 9. Unfortunately divorce came into the picture around 2004, my kids are fine, and are as smart as dad. Work, creativity and a wonderful "better half" take our whole life... by storm literally!”
Question 12: What is your favorite music? Favorite bands…
“Love those 80's songs. Just want to share this one:
Bizarre love triangle" "by new order.”
We dance, and we love to dance all day, ask Tammy!
We love Tears for fears, Human league and so many... Gosh!
“What is your favorite thing in the world to do?”
“What a question Michelle! We want to know who told you to ask us this question was it Debbie. This is the hardest one. Honestly, we love to see the whole world smiling. So, by writing we accomplish part of our dream. We'd like to humanize the world. We know there is a creator up there, and we have come close to him with our science and that miracle of life.”
Lord De Cross’s hubs are extraordinary just like he is.
"There are so many reasons for us to be here – We find ourselves in a journey with no foreseeable end... and the rewards go beyond our own imagination.”
