Reaching 100th Hubvenue
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. – Lao Tzu.
What does Lao Tzu means by saying that? For me, in order to achieve something in life, you must have the courage to make a step and reach for a way to become your dreams a reality; you must have the determination to reach the finish line. For your journey towards success will begin at the moment you make your first step.
Take a bite!
I’ve written one single hub to begin my journey on HubPages and I never thought that this journey in finding my "writer inside" would take me to places I never knew exists, to the wilderness of unseen paradise hidden beyond imagination or to the deepest emotions and life experiences of others.
If I just stick to my own lonely world, I wouldn’t have known about the beauty of the outside life, of making friends to other people and digging their own true feelings just through their writings and their names and most of all, the feeling that your words and ideas are being read and appreciated by many.
I’ve taken that single step not knowing what lies ahead; will I just create one for a try? Or will I continue to believe in my writings?
That one single entry led to two, mesmerized by the endless support of my fellow hubbers. I’ve read some works of the first few people I followed and was amazed by their talent and by the skills they possessed on writing.
I felt so small. How come I don’t have any ideas what to write, how come all my sentences forming on my head is such a blur?
Is writing my talent or am I just fooling myself that I know how to write? How come all my ideas are trash? They're not for publishing but rather it's for throwing into trash bins!
Writing is my passion, but for some reasons, I just don’t believe that I’m good enough for my works to be published.
I never really let someone read my work nor glanced at it. It’s not good and full of trash ideas.
But I was wrong; these trash ideas of mine were all appreciated by talented writers and hubbers.
And as time goes by, my outlook on the words I breathe to life began to unfold before my eyes. If they believed in my work, why can’t I believe on it too?
So the challenge started and then became a passion to finish until the 100th line.
My 100th hub has finally risen. The journey has come to an end.
But would I stop here on 100th Hubvenue?
The horizon is still vast and wide out there, so many adventures to take, many battles to win and people to meet.
It’s very tempting to think of the many great surprises just behind those mountains and curves.
I’ve learned a great deal of lessons during this long and exciting journey. I’ve stopped by to cheer for winners on HP Contests, for the hubbers who were nominated for Hubnuggets Awards and for Hubbers who made their article “Hub of the Day”.
Their work are simply amazing and very inspiring.
I also found treasures along the way in the form of friends. I never expected that I could gain loyal supporters who always takes time to read every single hub I’ve posted or people who would care to ask “how are you” if you’ve not been online for quite a while.
But somewhere along the line, you cannot avoid debates on ideas most likely on politics and religion. Everyone wants their views to be followed or heard and some would not just give in. Everyone has the right on their own opinions, right?
Well, that surely gives spice to the life!
Maybe 100th Hubvenue is just a start to a much wild and adventurrific journey I would have soon to take.
I know that I have so much more to learn about life, love and goodbyes to mold my talent to write and also maybe become an inspiration to others.
To all my friends, thank you all for making my Hubland journey worth the time and effort.
This 100th hub I humbly offer to you all.
So this is not yet over for this journey has just begun… and this time, I have made it my choice – to make it worth remembering.
See you around!
