Ode to the Wolves

Updated on August 17, 2011

the slaughter....

i can feel your breath

the pounding of your heart

the primal fear

the chase is on

the sounds flooding your ears

the overwhelming desire to escape

no where to go

it's getting closer

harder and faster

wide open spaces

the feeling of helplessness

just keep running

trees up ahead

almost there

the feeling of your heart

ready to explode

just let me get there

i'm almost there

a loud explosion

it's deafening

man is coming

Thanks many people care...but so many who don't are in those "high" places to make the wrong decisions about our sentient beings...thanks for the comments...I do believe we feel the same about our wildlife...what happens to them when they no longer exist because of man's greed and can only mean the extinction of man as save our sentient beings is to save ourselves.

thank you Kathy....I appreciate your comments...we are supposed to be an intelligent, civilized society....I wonder why, for the most part, we are not. I know there are many compassionate human beings trying to make a difference; I make reference to those in government and private industry with power that lobby against a more compassionate society. In the end, the Universal Law will prevail. I just want to make a difference in the way things are done in our society. Thank you for all you do as well to make this a better world.

Hi there jujubees....well, I am very moved by this..and saddened...extremely saddened. I know your feelings, your dismay, hurt, fear...all those emotions which ran through the beautiful wolves before being slaughtered by ignorant human kind. We are really a devastating energy on this earth...we rape, plunder, destroy and stomp on this earth and animals because we think we 'can.' Because we think we are 'better.' Because we are an arrogant species who has no clue about life. I empathize with you and share your sorrow over this and so many of the other atrocities which we inflict on living beings...thank you for reminding me and others to be ever vigilant in our regard and protection of beautiful animals. Kathy
